The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) is working with the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to manage the recruitment of Regional Councils. On this basis, the information you provide to the LSC will be processed by the DIUS purely for that purpose.
Closing date: Thursday 3rd April 2008.

* demonstrate the skills, knowledge and experience outlined on the site. If applying for Regional Chair, you’ll need to demonstrate that you fully meet the requirements for both Members and the position of Chair.
Interviews:
Regional Council Member applicants will be contacted by the relevant LSC Regional Office and interviews are likely to take place in June 2008 in the relevant LSC Regional Office. Due to the likely number of people applying, we are unable to provide specific interview dates at this stage. We hope to announce successful appointments by the end of July 2008.
Regional Chair applicants will be contacted by the LSC National Office. Interview dates are; Tuesday 29 April, Thursday 1 May and Friday 2 May and will be held at the LSC Office, Centre Point, London. We hope to be in a position to announce appointments in May 2008. We would also hope that successful Chairs will be involved in the interviews and appointment of Regional Council Members.
